The cosplay community is somewhere that I can indulge in my love of costume, creating, and pop culture surrounded by like minded people. I have met some truly amazing, talented people through this hobby and community, and made fantastic friendships along the way. We are a group of people who indulge in a hobby that maybe isn't really “mainstream” and can be ridiculed and misunderstood, and I think that makes us more accepting and open-minded towards each other as a collective.

To me, the Cosplay community is essentially a mass of nerdy awesomeness filled with awesome people that are generally accepting, and loving, and make me feel comfortable with being myself. I love this community because we are always there to help one another, and all equally fangirl (or boy) over each other when you meet in person, no matter how many likes you may have on your Facebook page, and it’s all just kind of heartwarming and leaves you with a kind of fuzzy feeling inside.
